How it works

  1. Choose a PDF. Its tables are found on your device in a few moments.
  2. Check each table in the preview. Switch tables, leave out ones you don't need and rename sheets.
  3. For scanned pages, start English text recognition. Cells it isn't sure about are highlighted.
  4. Create the Excel file and download it, or download a single table as CSV.

What should I know?

  • Complex or tightly packed borderless tables may need review.
  • Scanned-table extraction currently supports printed English tables.
  • Tilted or skewed scans may not be detected correctly. Straight scans work best.
  • OCR can misread characters or financial numbers; uncertain cells are flagged and never changed automatically.
  • Tables from real-world PDFs vary greatly, so review important data, especially from scanned or complex PDFs.
  • Original spreadsheet formulas cannot be recovered from a PDF.
  • Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first. PDFs of up to 100 pages, with up to 10 scanned pages, can be converted at once.

Privacy

Your PDF stays on your device. Tables are found, previewed and written into the Excel file inside your browser; the PDF, its numbers and its text are never sent to a server.

Supported formats

Input: PDF files with real text, and scanned PDFs with printed English tables. Output: an Excel workbook (.xlsx) with one table per sheet, or a CSV file for a single table.

Frequently asked questions

Does my PDF upload anywhere?

No. Conversion runs in your browser.

Can it convert scanned tables?

Yes, for printed English tables. Scanned tables may need review.

Are Hindi, Bengali and Tamil supported?

Yes for PDFs that already contain real text. Scanned-table extraction currently supports English only.

Does PDF to Excel recover formulas?

No. The workbook contains the values shown in the PDF, not formulas from the original spreadsheet.

Can I convert bank statements?

Yes when the statement contains a clearly detectable table. Always review extracted financial data before relying on it.

Are numbers real numbers in Excel?

Yes when the value is clear: amounts, ₹ values, CR/DR, negatives in brackets and percentages become numbers. Account numbers, references and codes with leading zeros stay as text exactly as shown. Dates like 12/10/2026 stay text unless the column proves the order.
