Privacy
Password checking and unlocking run inside your browser. Your PDF, its password and the file name are not uploaded to our server, never saved and never sent to analytics. The password is cleared as soon as the attempt finishes.
Supported formats
One PDF up to 100 MB and 2,000 pages. Works with the standard PDF password protection (RC4 40-bit and 128-bit, AES-128 and AES-256). Certificate-based or custom protection can't be removed. Unlocking keeps pages, text, images, links, forms, bookmarks, attachments and metadata as they are.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the PDF password?
Yes. OneDo Hub does not guess or recover passwords. Enter the valid password for a PDF you are authorized to modify.
Does my password upload anywhere?
No. Password verification and unlocking run in your browser.
Will the PDF lose quality?
It shouldn't. Unlocking removes encryption without turning pages into images.
Can OneDo Hub recover a forgotten password?
No. Password recovery and password cracking are not supported.
What happens to digital signatures?
Creating an unlocked copy can invalidate the original PDF's digital signature.
Why does it ask for the owner password?
Some PDFs have two passwords: one to open the file and one that controls its restrictions. Removing the protection needs the owner/permissions password, unless both are the same.
