Frequently asked questions

What does PDF to Grayscale do?

It converts visible document colors to shades of gray while preserving the PDF's pages, text and graphics.

Will my text still be searchable?

Yes. OneDo Hub does not turn entire pages into images just to convert their colors.

Does grayscale reduce file size?

Not always. File size depends on the PDF's images and internal structure. Use Compress PDF if your goal is primarily to reduce size.

Will links and forms still work?

They are preserved wherever possible. Existing visible form and annotation appearances are converted to grayscale rather than automatically flattened.

Are embedded attachments converted too?

No. Attached files are preserved unchanged. The visible main PDF is converted.

What happens to digital signatures?

Creating a grayscale copy modifies the document, so existing certificate signatures will no longer validate.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Processing runs in your browser.
