  3. Keep forms, annotations or both ticked.
  4. Download the flattened PDF.

Privacy

Your PDF is read and flattened inside your browser. The file, its form values and comments are not uploaded to our server, and everything is gone when you close the page.

Supported formats

One PDF up to 150 MB and 3,000 pages. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Flattens form fields and common annotations (highlights, underlines, strike-outs, drawings, stamps, text boxes, shapes, lines and note icons). Links, bookmarks and file attachments stay interactive. XFA forms and unapplied redactions are not flattened.

Frequently asked questions

What does flattening a PDF do?

It converts supported editable form fields and visible annotations into permanent page content.

Will my PDF become an image?

No. OneDo Hub does not rasterize the entire document just to flatten it. Page text, vectors and images stay as they are, and form values usually stay searchable.

Will links still work?

Links and bookmarks are kept wherever possible and are not flattened by default. File attachments are kept too.

What happens to comments?

When a supported annotation is flattened, its visible appearance becomes part of the page and its editable comment data, such as the comment text, author, replies and dates, may be removed. This is not the same as removing PDF metadata.

Does flattening securely apply redactions?

No. Unapplied redaction annotations must be securely applied first. OneDo Hub will not turn an unapplied redaction into a misleading black box.

What happens to digital signatures?

Flattening creates a modified copy, so existing certificate signatures will no longer validate. The visible signature is kept on the page.

Will form calculations still work?

No. Values are kept exactly as they are shown now; calculations, validation and field scripts stop because the fields are gone.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Processing runs in your browser.
