How it works

  1. Choose or drop the PDF you want to protect.
  2. Enter a password twice, or generate a strong one and copy it.
  3. Optionally open Advanced permissions to limit printing, copying or editing.
  4. OneDo Hub encrypts the PDF with AES-256, checks it, and you download it.

Privacy

Encryption runs inside your browser. Your PDF, its passwords and the file name are not uploaded, never saved and never sent to analytics. Passwords are cleared as soon as protection finishes.

Supported formats

One PDF up to 50 MB and 2,000 pages. New files are protected with AES-256. Pages, text, fonts, images, links, bookmarks, comments, forms, attachments and metadata are kept; nothing is turned into images. Passwords can't be recovered by OneDo Hub. Permission restrictions depend on the PDF reader. Protecting a digitally signed PDF invalidates its original signature. Already protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
