How to use JSON to Code

  1. 1

Paste JSON, or open or drop a .json file.

  2. 2

Check the structure summary. Errors show the exact line and column.

  3. 3

Choose TypeScript or Go and set the root type name and options.

  4. 4

Copy the code or download it.

How types are inferred

Every value is read as one of the six JSON types: string, number, boolean, null, object or array. Arrays of objects are merged into one type, so a field that is missing in some items becomes optional, and a field that is sometimes null becomes nullable. Missing and null are kept separate. Date, email and URL strings stay strings, because JSON only proves they are text.

Privacy

Your JSON is read, checked and turned into code inside your browser. It isn't uploaded, and it is never run as code.

Supported formats

Paste strict JSON or open one .json file up to 5 MB, 200 levels deep. Output: TypeScript (.ts) interfaces or types, or Go (.go) structs.

Frequently asked questions

What does JSON to Code generate?

It generates TypeScript interfaces or types and Go structs from JSON examples.

Can it handle nested JSON?

Yes. Nested objects and arrays generate reusable nested types.

How are optional fields detected?

A field is marked optional only when comparable object examples show that it is missing. A null value by itself does not mean a field is optional.

What happens with mixed arrays?

TypeScript uses a union of the observed types. Go uses []any when one safe static type cannot be inferred.

Does it detect dates automatically?

No. JSON only defines strings, numbers, booleans, null, arrays and objects. Date-looking values remain strings.

What about very large numbers?

Integers larger than JavaScript can hold exactly are flagged, never rewritten. Formatting keeps their exact digits, and Go uses json.Number when a value doesn't fit in int64.

Is my JSON uploaded?

No. Parsing and code generation run in your browser.
