How it works

  1. Choose or drop your images — one or up to 30 at once.
  2. Pick the format to convert to: JPG, PNG or WebP.
  3. Keep Recommended quality, or open Advanced options for metadata, custom quality or resizing.
  4. Select Convert, then download each image or all of them as one ZIP.

Which image format should I use?

JPG is best for photos you need to send, upload or print — it opens everywhere. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so it suits logos, screenshots and text. WebP makes much smaller files with or without transparency and works in all modern browsers, but some older apps and upload forms still don't accept it.

JPG vs PNG vs WebP

  • JPG to PNG: no further quality loss, but the file usually gets bigger.
  • PNG to JPG: much smaller files for photos; transparency is filled with a colour you choose.
  • WebP to JPG or PNG: for sites and apps that don't accept WebP.
  • JPG or PNG to WebP: smaller files for websites.
  • HEIC to JPG or PNG: makes iPhone photos open on Windows, Android and upload forms. For HEIC to JPG only, our HEIC to JPG converter is the simplest choice.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP keep transparent areas. JPG can't store transparency, so when a transparent image becomes a JPG you choose the background — white, black or your own colour — and we tell you when it was used.

Privacy

Your images are converted inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and neither are their file names or photo details. Everything is gone when you close or refresh the page.

Supported formats

Input: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF — the real type is read from the file itself, not just its name. Output: JPG, PNG or WebP. Up to 30 images, 30 MB each, 300 MB per batch and 50 megapixels per image.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Conversion happens with your browser's own image tools and our on-device HEIC decoder. Images, file names and photo details never leave your device.

Does converting reduce quality?

Converting to PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WebP compress the image; with Recommended or Best quality the difference is very hard to see. Each image is converted once from your original file, and its pixel size stays the same unless you choose to resize.

Will my photos stay the right way up?

Yes. Rotation stored in the photo is applied, so portrait photos stay upright in the converted file.

What happens to photo details like location?

By default all hidden metadata — including GPS location — is removed. Keep basic metadata saves only the date taken and the camera make and model. Location is always removed.

Are colours kept?

HEIC photos keep their colour profile. JPG, PNG and WebP files are decoded by your browser in standard sRGB, so wide-colour images such as iPhone Display P3 can look very slightly less vivid. We tell you when that happens.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 30 images per batch, 30 MB each, 300 MB in total and 50 megapixels per image. Larger images are refused with a clear message, never shrunk without telling you.
